Conversation Partners

     In this program, North Iowa community members assist new international students in preparing for the academic year by sharing the English language and our community.  The Conversation Partners program was launched in 2004, and currently has 10 volunteers who assist 21 international students. 

     The impact of this program has been huge.  100% of the students agreed their Conversation Partners improved their ability to be understood in American culture and slang.
